If you’re a quilter or a would-be quilter, you’re welcome to join us for a good time and for a good cause as we tie our quilts. We meet about once a month. The next one is Thursday August 18, from 1pm-3pm. (Gail Goodman or Emogene Meier would be happy to answer any questions you have.)

FYI: The Quilters meet periodically throughout the year.  If you are interested in joining them, please contact the church. Don’t be frightened off by the thought that you don’t know how to quilt, because we are actually just tying the quilts and all you have to do is tie knots. They are small, lap or crib size, usually. We tie several each time and they are usually given to charity or people we know who are ill or disabled or have a new baby. Join us whenever you like.

Our next large group meeting for the garden will be on Sunday, March 13th at 11:45 a.m. at First United Church of Arvada (following service and fellowship time).  We hope you can make it as there are important and exciting items to discuss! More events.

“Coffee and Conversation,” a new adult sharing time will begin April 3 from 9:00 to 9:45. Each Sunday a leader will offer a different subject. Jeanne Bacheldor will kick-off this group looking at “Mindfulness and Aging, Are They Connected?” on April 3. Come at 8:45 for coffee (and possibly a sweet or two) as we toss around these current subjects. Be sure and check your bulletin and newsletter for future subjects.

Just thoughtful conversations facilitated by informed leaders. There may also be a Conversation about “conversations” with people who view things differently. What do you think? We welcome your ideas!

The Adult Sunday School time together “Coffee and Conversation” will not be a class, as such, but rather a time when we can gather to talk about issues important to our lives as we are living them. Coffee will be served at 8:45am, with the conversation beginning at 9.

The first Conversation topic “Mindfulness & Aging–Are They Connected?” facilitated by Jeanne Bacheldor began on April 3. By popular demand, the conversation continues for a third week on April 17.

A new conversation on “Earth Day:  History and Progress” begins on April 24 with Tony Satriano facilitating.

A series of conversations on “Just Eating” will begin in May.
