Tuesday April 22–Book Club
The current book is Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan. We’ll meet Tuesday April 22 to discuss it.
The next book kit also available for checkout, but we won’t plan a separate meeting to discuss. That book is Good Material: A Novel by Dolly Alderton. If you have any questions, contact the Church Office. Contact the Church Office for any questions.
Sunday April 27, 10am–Greening of the Cross
April 27, the First Sunday after Easter, is one of the six Sundays of Eastertide before Pentecost arrives on June 8. We will “Green the Cross” that morning during the worship service, which means we’ll decorate a cross with small branches of greenery from the outdoors to welcome the greening of springtime and acknowledge Earth Day (which is April 22). Please bring greening branches from your own yard to share for the decoration that morning. (Evergreen branches are fine.)
Spring Clothing Collection for Serving Kids
What is Serving Kids? The Serving Kids program provides new and near-new clothing, including jeans, coats, shoes and more, to Jeffco school children who are in need. School personnel are usually the first to recognize the need. Clothing is delivered to the employee, who then gives it to the student. The program is supported with donations of children’s clothing and cash from around the community. Cash donations are used to purchased new socks and underwear for each student, as well as new high demand items such as jeans and sneakers. Serving Kids collects gently used and laundered clothing appropriate for school, sizes 3T to adult XXXL. We will have a bin in the foyer for collecting items as you spring clean!
Labyrinth-Open for Walking
This past fall, our congregation completed construction for a labyrinth, open to the community for meditative walks.
