month of August: Special Blessing Box Collection
Our Blessing Box has gotten a fair amount of use these past few months. We’re doing a special collection throughout August to restock a few key items.
The items we NEED are:
•Canned soups or chili
•Canned protein: tuna, chicken, refried beans, baked beans, etc.
•Pasta sauce
•Fruit cups/canned fruit
Items we DO NOT NEED:
•Plain beans: black, kidney, garbanzo
•Canned veggies (we have tons!)
Items can be placed in basket in the foyer. Contact the Church Office with any questions!

Sunday Aug 16–Celebrating Back to School
On Sunday, August 16, we will be celebrating our kids going back to school! We will have some special treats but would also like to surprise them with a few back-to-school supplies. More importantly, we would like to bless our community by stocking the Blessing Box with back-to-school supplies. If you are able to purchase supplies, below is a list of items that are universally needed by students:
•Pencils (Ticonderoga is the most recommended brand)
•Markers (washable – thick or thin)
•Crayons
•Colored pencils
•Erasers (think pink!)
•Glue Sticks
•Other items are welcome as well
We would like items before the 16th. You are welcome to bring them at any time. Contact the Church Office with any questions.

Friday Aug 21, 1pm–Book Club: The Overstory by Richard Powers
Our next read for the Book Club will be The Overstory by Richard Powers. There is a book club kit for this book. We will meet to discuss this book on Friday, August 21 @ 1PM at a church member’s home. For any questions, contact the Church Office.

now-Aug 30, during the 10am Worship service–Summer Sunday School for Kids
Our Summer Sunday school is underway for kids rising Kindergarten-6th grade+. These are a variety of activities offered by people within the church who are not the regular teachers. They take place during the Sunday morning 10am worship service–usually starting partway through the service when the kids are invited leave the service for the activity.
