Book Club offers 2 books for Oct 16 discussion!
Book Club has 2 book choices this time! Both can be borrowed from the church via a book kit we’ve checked out from the library: The Correspondent by Virginia Evans and My Friends by Fredrik Backman. Read both or choose the one book you most want to read. Discussions are on Friday October 16: 1-2pm discuss The Correspondent , 2-3pm discuss My Friends. Come for one or both. Sunday Sept 13–Kids’ Regular Sunday School Begins on Faith Formation Sunday
We will have three classrooms this year:
Worship and Wonder — Kindergarten–3rd Grade
• Location: South Sunday School Room
Engage and Explore (E&E) — 4th–5th Grade
• Location: Fireside Room
Middle School — 6th Grade and Up
• Location: Pastor Karin’s Study **Sept 13 & 20 they will meet with E&E**

Nursery Care – 0 to 5 year olds (who are not in Kinder)

now through Dec 31–Kids’ Hands-On Kindness Campaign
The FUCA Engage & Explore class (grades 4-5) and Middle School kids are officially registered with the United States of Kindness by Kindland. Beginning September 13, they are taking on a challenge to collectively complete 250 combined acts of kindness by December 31. The kids will be encouraged to look for opportunities to show kindness throughout the week at school, at home, and in the community. They will keep track of their acts of kindness and then record them during Sunday School with an official tracker. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference—and one simple act can create a ripple effect that inspires kindness in others. We feel this is an important value to teach the kids and a great hands-on way for them to at least think about how their actions affect others.

La Foret Family Camp Oct 2-4!
We are ready to head back to La Foret for our annual family camp! This is a wonderful time to gather as a church family in beautiful Black Forest just north of Colorado Springs, get to know each other better, and have a little fun! PLEASE SIGN UP BY SEPT 15
• Date: Friday afternoon, October 2 through Sunday morning, October 4
• Pricing: Adults (18+): $150, kids (3-17): $60, Saturday only: $40
• Place: La Foret Conference & Retreat Center
• Potluck dinner on Friday evening, then meals in the dining hall Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast
• We will have activities planned, but nothing too strenuous. A walk/hike, craft, labyrinth walk, and other fun activities.
• Meeting in Ponderosa Lodge
• Sunday morning worship in the Chapel
• CROP Walk
• If you can’t come for the weekend, but would like to come down on Saturday only, we would love to have you!
