The Common Earth Community Garden will officially open Wednesday April 29 with some Safety Requirements. The water will be on, however, the Church’s tools, in their entirety, will not be available to our gardening community at this time, in compliance with best practices recommended by Denver Urban Gardens to maintain the good health of all gardeners, during the time of COVID-19.
Other safe practices recommended by Denver Urban Gardens requires the wearing a cloth mask at all times while working in the garden. Gardeners are required to bring their own tools to the garden, and take them back home when leaving the garden. We also ask you to sanitize (wipe down with alcohol) commonly touched items such as the water handle, touched with bare hand. Common items touched while wearing gardening gloves don’t require wiping down.
Gardens are more important now than ever and we are glad to be able to be open on time, as usual, with only a few additional requirements in this unique time in history. Happy gardening.
See this on the church’s Upcoming Events page.
