This newly formed board will help care for our congregation–from first-time visitors to long-time attending, from regularly attending and unable to attend (such as shut-ins), and in-between. It sounds like a lot, but when we harness the efforts of many people doing small parts of the work, we’ll complete a lot together! Do you have an interest in writing cards? Visiting shut-ins? Setting out treats for fellowship after worship? Helping set-up meals for memorial services or special events? Greeting people as they walk in the door? Organizing an event such as card-making? …If you have an interest in any of these functions, please attend the meeting after worship on March 17.
We start with a look at prophets of the Bible. Later we branch into poets and artists as prophets, our inner journeys of prophecy and explore who today’s prophets are! Join in on the journey at any time. Various facilitators lead from their own strengths. The journey continues through Lent (into March and April). All are welcome.

Do you have an interest in First United’s Mission/Service Trip? Want to find out more? There will be a brief meeting after worship on Sunday March 31. We need to know if we have enough people to go on this trip to Alamosa, Colorado July 14-18. This is for individuals, couples, families, and youth (rising 9th graders and older). We work with La Puente there. The video at their website http://www.lapuente.net/ gives an overview of what the organization does there.
Saturday April 6-Spaghetti Supper
The Spaghetti Supper, where the youth serve and the proceeds go toward the summer mission/service trip to Alamosa, is coming up on Saturday April 6. Serving begins at 5:30pm. (Youth will arrive at 4 for setup & prep.) More information coming soon!
Steve Bennett leads another week based in spiritual psychology looking at a writing by Robert Sardello. (No need to have attended the previous week to be part of the discussion!) Then on Palm Sunday, Karen Howe takes a look at prophets of today. (No class on Easter Sunday.)
