If you open the Bible near its the center, you might find yourself in the book of Isaiah. This Sunday Jim Sullivan leads us in discussion about this prophet of the Bible. In later weeks we’ll look at other prophets of the Bible, but also branch into poets and artists as prophets, our inner journeys of prophecy and explore who today’s prophets are. All are welcome.
Children (elementary age) are dismissed about 20 minutes into the service for Worship & Wonder. Youth (middle & high school age) stay in worship this week. Nursery is provided for preschool age and younger children. Worship concludes about 11:00am, with coffee and fellowship afterward.
Today:
- What does a Mission Trip or Summer Camp offer? Come gather around the fire, so to speak, this Sunday at 10am. Rev. Karen Howe explores some of the fun and deeper spiritual things summer camp, retreats and mission trips can offer. And she’s not just talking about youth opportunities. La Foret offers adult camps, too. And First United’s July Mission/Service Trip to Alamosa is for more than just youth. It’s an interactive “sermon” for youth and adults alike.
