The Congregation is invited to give input on the Church By-Law Changes (related to the Board/Committee Restructure we’ve been implementing this year) in advance of or on Saturday January 11, 12:30-2pm. Copies of the most recent version of the By-Laws were emailed on Dec. 20, or printed out for members who don’t receive email. This is a time for Council to hear information BEFORE the Congregational Annual Meeting Sunday January 26.
The Adult Study Class will begin a new study series on Sunday, January 5, 8:30am. We will read and discuss On Tyranny by Timothy Snyder. Books will be available on Sunday, December 29, courtesy of the Jefferson County Library!
Children (K-5th grade) and Youth (6th-12th grade) stay for about the first 20 minutes of the service, then are invited to Worship & Wonder (K-5) and Youth Sunday school (6-12) down the hall. Nursery is provided for preschool age and younger children for the full service. Worship concludes about 11:00AM, with coffee and fellowship afterward.

The Annual Congregational Meeting of the First United Church of Arvada will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020, in the sanctuary immediately following worship. The purpose of the meeting is to adopt the 2020 Budget, elect the officers of the church and Board members, approve the up-dates and changes to the Constitution and By-Laws, as well as any other matters that shall properly come before the congregation. The 2019 Annual Report will be presented at the meeting. It will be sent to all those with e-mail approximately a week before the meeting. Hard copies will be available for those who do not have email.
