Calendar
Children & youth stay in church throughout the service today. (Nursery provided.)
Worship concludes about 11:00AM, with coffee and fellowship afterward.
Worship on May 27 will be a Taize service. This is a simple, contemplative approach to worship with scripture readings, songs that are easy to sing together, and moments of silence. Karen Howe, Patty Painter-Wakefield and Pastor Karin Kilpatric are putting this together.
Reception for Margie Hausburg follows worship.
After 18 years of dedicated and competent service to our church, our Church Secretary, Margie Hausburg, is retiring. Pastor Karin and Margie have worked together for all
that time (they both began at First United in the same year, 2000). Our church has been so blessed to have her in this important role, holding so many details together with such
grace and friendliness to all who stopped into the office. Church Secretaries are too often unsung heroines. There are many demands to this job; requiring multi-tasking, attention-to-detail, good writing and editing, precision in financial matters and ability to remain flexible in the midst of so many people. Please join us right after worship on May 27 for a reception of light snacks and to offer our gratitude for her loving service.
