The first garden work day this season is Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10am to Noon. Anyone can participate. We will be weeding the pathways around plots,  the pergola area, and landscaped areas around the garden. We will have lunch together at noon to swap gardening tips and get to know each other better. Participants will need to bring their own food and drink.

Bring-Your-Own Picnic & Seating

Due to the weather, the Outdoor Bring-Your-Own picnic gathering was moved from May 30 to June 6.  Worship will happen on Zoom as usual, then we will meet at the church, out front at 12:30pm. Wear a mask or have one at hand, please. Bring a picnic lunch for yourself/your family, and lawn/camp chairs and/or a blanket. RSVP to the church office by Friday June 4.

RMC UCC Annual Celebration

Our Rocky Mountain Conference’s Annual Celebration is all online and open to all in the Congregation.  It runs from Monday June 7 to Saturday June 12.  The keynote speaker on Wednesday June 9 at 5pm is Valarie Kaur, a civil rights activist, lawyer, award-winning filmmaker, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, author of See No Stranger: A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love, and Sikh American voice. Christian Ed is bringing back the Family Fun Night this summer, but this year it’ll be all outdoors and you’re asked to bring-your-own-picnic (no potluck) to make it safer for all.  We’ll have more details as we near the date.

Worship (in person & on Zoom)

First United Church of Arvada has now opened worship services for in person worship, in addition to offering it over Zoom.  To participate in person, we ask that you sign up to attend, as we’re continuing to have social distancing in the sanctuary.  Masks are required in the building.
