Choir is preparing for the Cantata, coming Dec 18.
Children (elementary age) & youth (middle & high school) participate in a short skit for Advent, then about 15 minutes into the service children go to Worship & Wonder, and Youth go to Sunday school. (Nursery provided.)
Worship concludes about 11:00AM, with coffee and fellowship afterward.

- Short skit each Sunday during Advent featuring the kids/youth and the above themes
- Special music from individuals
The Mouse House is a little “shop” for kids to purchase gently used items for family & friends for only a quarter. The youth will be setting up and staffing the Mouse House in the Pastor’s Study.
(Grown-ups are asked to bring donations of gently-used items to be sold in the Mouse House. Please bring them anytime between now and the start of church on December 11. Event is sponsored by Christian Ed.)
Sometimes the “Happiest Time of the Year” is not a happy time for everyone. The “Blue” Christmas service allows those experiencing grief, or who simply need a quieter time for reflection to gather.

O Come Let Us Adore Him. There is room in the stable to celebrate together. We’ll hear the story of the night Jesus was born, listen to music, sing songs together, and file outdoors with our candles to sing some more and see the live nativity. Yes, real people and animals representing the Christmas story.
NO WORSHIP SERVICE Christmas Day morning. Instead, we will gather at 4pm for a special Vespers service.
Christmas Day, First United will not hold a morning worship service. Instead, we will gather at 4pm for a special Vespers service of prayer, singing and sharing our Christmas traditions.
