The 8:30 AM Sunday School Class will resume its study of The Book of Acts on Sunday, January 7. The study will pick right up where it left off in the spring and begin with Chapter 7. All are welcome! We will be looking at a new phase in the spread of Christianity in the Roman world. Jim Sullivan will continue as our well-informed teacher/leader!
Children & youth stay for the first 20 minutes or so, then are dismissed for Worship & Wonder (K-6th grade) and Youth Sunday school (middle & high school). (Nursery provided.)
Worship concludes about 11:00AM, with coffee and fellowship afterward.

Andrew Romanoff, President and CEO of Mental Health Colorado, will be our guest speaker. Part of the mission of Mental Health Colorado is to educate the public and reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness. Andrew Romanoff will discuss with us his knowledge about the nature and prevalence of mental illness, the benefits of early intervention, and the consequences of inaction. (Mental illness expresses itself in many ways, affecting many of us directly. Today, the connection between mental illness and the violence we’ve been conversing about couldn’t be more obvious.) Please join us and bring your friends and neighbors.

- Annual Planning Meeting for all Congregational members after worship
The Annual Congregational Meeting of the First United Church of Arvada will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018, in the sanctuary immediately following worship. The purpose of the meeting is to adopt the 2018 Budget, and to elect the officers of the church and Board members, as well as any other matters that shall properly come before the congregation. The 2017 Annual Report will be presented at the meeting. It will be sent to all those with e-mail when it’s finished.
Celebration! Choir rehearses tonight! If you’d like to sing, you’re welcome. Peals of Praise bell choir rehearses afterwards. The bell choir plays Feb 11 during the Worship service. The choir sings Feb 18 during worship.
The 8:30 AM Sunday School Class continues its study of The Book of Acts into February. All are welcome–even if you didn’t participate in the first several chapters study! We will be looking at a new phase in the spread of Christianity in the Roman world. Jim Sullivan will continue as our well-informed teacher/leader! No preparation required. Bibles and materials supplied (though you’re certainly welcome to bring your own Bible!).
Children & youth stay for the first 20 minutes or so, then are dismissed for Worship & Wonder (K-6th grade). Youth Sunday school (middle & high school) stay in worship with week (generally every 1st Sunday of the month). (Nursery provided.)

Join the Fisher Board in decorating jigsaw puzzles with hearts and words to be delivered to our shut-ins. Plenty of blank jigsaw puzzles will be available for you to also decorate for family and friends.
A light lunch will be served before we begin decorating.
