Friday evening at 8pm, First United will participate in ringing our tower bell in awareness of Juneteenth and in commemoration of George Floyd’s death and the injustices that it symbolizes.

Several of our youth will ring the bell for 9 minutes, starting at 8pm. (We will be observing physical distancing and wearing masks.)

Anyone who would like to be present for this is invited to park in the parking lot and remain in their car as a supporter of the commemorative bell-ringing.

Many UCC churches all over the country (and hopefully other denominations as well) will be participating.

You’re invited to support the Community Table Food Bank in Arvada through an Interfaith Community Food Drive on Saturday July 25 from 9am to 3pm! The goal is for a contactless experience at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alkire Building: 12995 West 72nd Avenue, Arvada, CO 80005 (across from the APEX Center). Here’s how you can participate safely:
–Place your canned goods in bags or boxes and place them in the trunk or back seat of your car, away from any passengers.
–When you arrive at the food drive, pull up to the drop off location, and open the trunk of your car or unlock your door.
–A masked volunteer will remove the donations from your vehicle and carry them to the donation tables
–Please remain in your car except to open or close the trunk as needed.
