The Adult Study Group is looking at Christ in Crisis – Why We Need to Reclaim Jesus by Jim Wallis.  It’s available for download, for purchase, and in the libraries. (Library copies are limited so you may want to try Prospector and/or place it on hold.) A preview, including entire prologue and first chapter, are available as free downloads for Kindles and tablets. You’re welcome to join at any time, even if you haven’t read the book. On March 15, Jeri Lou and Mike Maus each share their individual art work in the Fireside Room after worship.

Then, Calling all poets (young and old)! On April 19, our Art Share Sunday will feature poetry, both written and spoken, in a “coffeehouse” style reading in the Fireside room after services. Submit your poems and questions to Louise Brown who is graciously coordinating this event.

Due to an abundance of caution, this concert has been canceled for the time being. A reschedule date will be considered at a later time.

First United is one of 3 congregations in Arvada contributing to an Easter Interfaith concert. There will be a mass choir from the 3 churches, and performances from each separate congregation, including handbells, small ensembles and choirs. Planning is in progress. The concert will be held at Arvada United Methodist Church on Saturday March 21 at 2pm.
