Today:
- Second Sunday of Advent
- If you have fresh evergreen boughs we can use for the Spiral Garden later in the day, please bring them this morning. We’ll build the spiral right after the worship service.
We’ll have a Spiral Garden of Fresh Evergreen boughs in in the Common Earth Community Garden open space on Sunday, December 7, at 4 pm (for about 30 to 45 minutes). If you have cut greenery that we can use, please bring it in on that morning before worship. Any one who is interested in helping set up the spiral, we will do that right after worship that morning. Children, youth and families will be invited to walk the Spiral one at a time (like a labyrinth walk), lighting a candle in the middle and setting it along the path on the spiral walk out. There will be flute music in the background by Sue Wedaa. This is a time for quiet reverence. Cookies and cider follow inside!
The next Book Club read is Tom Lake by Ann Patchett. There’s a Book Kit you can sign out a book from, which is available on the Welcome table on Sunday mornings. We will meet to discuss it on Friday, December 12th at 11am at a member’s home. For information, contact the Church Office.
Please gather with us starting at 8:30am, with the morning’s discussion beginning at 8:45am.
