Genetic Engineering. Climate Change. Artificial Intelligence. Vaccines. There are faithful members of our congregation who also take the science behind these topics seriously. How can our church discuss such topics so that both faith and science are treated with the proper respect? Jason Hine invites you to the Fireside Room on Saturday January 28 at 10:45am for a symposium presented by the American Scientific Affiliation followed by Q&A and light refreshments until 12:30pm.
First United Church of Arvada is open for in-person Worship in addition to offering our services over Zoom. For in-person services, masks are optional. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask or are not feeling well, we encourage you to continue to wear a mask on Sunday mornings or join us via Zoom. Request Zoom link here.
The nursery is open. Elementary age kids will be invited to leave the worship service partway through to attend Worship & Wonder. Kids are always welcome in the sanctuary with you or, if you prefer, you can bring your child(ren) to the foyer and still participate in the service, but with some extra wiggle room.

For those who have a desire to know more about our denomination, the United Church of Christ, as well as, our own congregation, we will be having a brief orientation to U.C.C. history, theology, and polity and to the programs and worship at our own individual congregation. We will meet at the Church on Saturday, March 4 at 10 am for coffee and conversation. It would also give us all a chance to get to know each other a bit.
