“Grounded” Study/Discussion
Sep 24 @ 8:30 am – 9:45 am

Grounded book coverThe book “Grounded: Finding God in the World” by Diana Butler Bass, a leading commentator on religion, politics and culture, will be the source of our fall Adult Study. We’ll explore and meditate upon the idea of a “more intimate sense of the Sacred that is with us in the world”, a shift from a vertical understanding of God.

Pastor Karin will introduce us to the study on September 17 (Genesis). Each week for the following five weeks we will focus on our natural habitat – (:dirt, water, sky) and human geography (roots, home, neighborhood, commons).

Books are available in hardback and online from Cokesbury Press, Amazon, and other book sellers. Not required for participation.

Worship + Worship & Wonder
Sep 24 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Due to the rain and chilly weather expected, we’ll worship indoors rather than outdoors and we’ll hold Sunday school for elementary through high school. (Nursery provided indoors.)

Worship concludes about 11:00AM, with coffee and fellowship afterward.

Today:

  • Tom Garrison plays his Native American flute with Jeannie Garrison playing drum
  • Celebration of the garden
