• Fourth Sunday of Easter

A special congregational meeting of the members of First United Church of Arvada will be convened on Sunday, April 25, 2021 following Zoom worship (approx. 11:05 am) on April 25.  The meeting will be held via Zoom and will use the same meeting login information as Sunday’s worship. The purpose of the meeting is for the congregation to decide to accept or not accept the City of Arvada offer concerning the intent to acquire church property by eminent domain.  Information regarding the City of Arvada’s offer will be provided to the members of the congregation at least 7 days before the meeting. We will need a 30% quorum, so please plan to attend.

We are calling a continuation of the Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, May 9 following our Zoom worship (login for the meeting will be the same as the Sunday Worship Service login) at 11 am. The purpose of this portion of the meeting (continued from the April 25 meeting) is to approve the counter offer that will be compiled by our Moderator, Chuck Clark, and our Building & Property committee.

• After Worship In-person Gathering at the Church at 12:30pm–Bring Your Own Lunch & Beverage/Bring your own chair or blanket (Masks, social distancing, RSVP required)

The first garden work day this season is Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 10am to Noon. Anyone can participate. We will be weeding the pathways around plots,  the pergola area, and landscaped areas around the garden. We will have lunch together at noon to swap gardening tips and get to know each other better. Participants will need to bring their own food and drink.
