Calendar
If you’d like to purchase gift cards for yourself or others AND raise a little money for the church, buy the cards through First United’s Scrip program. For a list of participating restaurants & businesses, and more information about how it works, contact the church office. Orders and payment are due by Monday March 14 at 9am.
Book Club will next meet on Friday March 18 at 12:45pm in the church sanctuary. The book is The Other Einstein by Marie Bennett, the story of Einstein’s wife, a brilliant physicist in her own right. Please contact the church office for more information.
First United Church of Arvada is open for in-person Worship in addition to offering our services over Zoom. For in-person services, masks are highly recommended.
The nursery is open. Elementary age kids will be invited to leave the worship service partway through to attend Worship & Wonder. Kids are always welcome in the sanctuary with you or, if you prefer, you can bring your child(ren) to the foyer and still participate in the service, but with some extra wiggle room.

Today:
- 3rd Sunday during Lent
- Prayer Station for Lament (Psalm 13)
Choir rehearsal will be on Sundays after worship for the month of March.
We’re offering a few opportunities to gather as a small group to reflect on material from our Lenten devotional “Wendell Berry and the Sabbath Poetry of Lent”. The devotional themes and poems will inform Sunday morning worship services, and the Lenten devotional itself is available through the church office to anyone interested. You don’t have to have the devotional to participate, but it may make the meetings more meaningful. There will be 3 gatherings on Monday at 11am: March 7, March 21, and April 4. We’ll plan to circle up some chairs at the back of the sanctuary to gather in person, but will also try offering Zoom participation.
