No Worship & Wonder this Sunday.  Kids worship with family this Sunday.  Christmas bookmarks for coloring will be available.  Kids are always welcome in the sanctuary with you or, if you prefer, you can bring your child(ren) to the foyer and still participate in the service, but with some extra wiggle room.

  • Who:  Anyone who cares about the future of First United Church of Arvada!–Members, Non-members, Youth, Adults, Staff
  • When: 8am Saturday Jan 14 & Saturday Jan 28 (pick one)
  • Time Commitment: 90 minutes to 2 hours on one of those Saturdays
  • What: Coffee/Tea + Pastries for Discussion about the Future of First United (using The World Cafe way of discussion & being together. More at https://theworldcafe.com/)
  • Why: First United has been has been impacted by the pandemic, economics, construction, its mission vs. the size of the church to do the mission, so we’re looking at what questions to ask about our future and how to move into that future.
  • Please RSVP to the church office with which date you’d like to attend

Scientists & the Church

Genetic Engineering. Climate Change. Artificial Intelligence. Vaccines. There are faithful members of our congregation who also take the science behind these topics seriously. How can our church discuss such topics so that both faith and science are treated with the proper respect? Jason Hine invites you to the Fireside Room on Saturday January 28 at 10:45am for a symposium presented by the American Scientific Affiliation followed by Q&A and light refreshments until 12:30pm.
