See the Ministry for Children page page for further descriptions of the classes. The nursery is available for children age 5 and under. And know that children are always welcome in the sanctuary with you!
Today:
- World Communion Sunday
Celebration! Choir meets each Sunday morning after the worship service, in the sanctuary. Contact Sue Wedaa with any questions (or if you are interested in playing handbells!)
The Endowment Committee invites everyone to learn the facts about wills and estate planning. An educational presentation, led by the three Directors, will happen on Sunday, Oct. 6th during Fellowship time after church. Bring your questions. The purpose of this program is to clarify a confusing and sometimes overwhelming topic that causes two thirds of adults to postpone the task indefinitely. We will define legal terms that are commonly misunderstood. You will learn how to interview a perspective lawyer or financial advisor by knowing how to ask good questions. We will explain the multiple ways to avoid probate. Since each person’s situation is different and we are not experts, we will not give individual financial or legal advice. A form will be available at the meeting for those who would like to give a planned legacy gift to our church. This form will include all the information needed by the professional who is assisting you with your arrangements. Contact the Endowment Fund Directors (Martha Sullivan, Denise Winn-Bower & Susan Berry) with any questions.

If you child is interested in being an acolyte, please plan on attending. For our current acolytes, this is a great time for a refresher and I could use your help with demonstrating what needs to happen!
We will begin looking at The Forbidden Gospels by Rev. Larry Angus. Larry will be here on October 20 to do a lecture.

The 2024 CWS Crop Walk will be held on Sunday, October 20 following Worship, in the labyrinth. Kids are invited to bring a canned good item to donate and walk the labyrinth, placing their item on the stone in the center.
CROP Hunger Walks help to support the overall mission of Church World Service (CWS) to fight hunger around the world. Additionally, each local CROP Hunger Walk can share up to 25 percent of the funds it raises to hunger-fighting programs in its own community. You can give via check (put CROP Walk in memo line) or give online.
The next book is The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin. There is no book kit at this time, but it is readily available from the library. The discussion gathering will be on October 25 at 1 pm. Contact the Church Office for any questions about Book Club.
