Common Earth Community Garden
Common Earth Community Garden, in cooperation with First United Church of Arvada and Denver Urban Gardens, broke ground in May 2016, and continues to develop, (now, separately from Denver Urban Gardens). Its location is south of the church building, which is on the southwest corner of Simms and 72nd in Arvada.
In addition to garden plots, there is a fellowship lawn with a picnic area and shade gazebo, beehives (between the church building and the garden area), compost bins, a gathering space for education and fellowship, a bulletin board, benches, a meditative space, and with the new parking lot complete, in the spring of 2024, the church is constructing a walkable labyrinth between the church building and the garden.

Mission statement: Common Earth Community Garden is established to grow and distribute vegetables, provide a source of wholesome food to local food banks, provide nutritional and cultural education for youth, a place of fellowship for multi-generational families, and outreach to our diverse neighbors on this shared common earth.
